We are hiring for our client, a global leader in materials processing solutions, who are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their established Electrical Team based in Dungannon. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer who is passionate about electrical design, innovation, and continuous improvement. The Role:
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will:
- Design and develop 3 phase electrical control systems and technical documentation
- Create and test PLC and HMI software (Allen Bradley & IFM Systems)
- Write Functional Specifications and ensure accurate project documentation
- Support new product development and continuous improvement projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative electrical solutions
- Occasionally support equipment commissioning and on-site testing
- Ensure compliance with all safety and industry standards
The Person:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong technical background in 3 phase electrical systems and automation
- Skilled in PLC/HMI programming, VFDs, and control panel design (Zuken E3 / ePlan desirable)
- Experience with industrial networks such as EtherNet IP, CANbus, and Modbus
- Proven project management ability and analytical skills
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Self-motivated, with some flexibility for occasional travel
