Job description Maintenance Technician Our client is seeking a dayshift Maintenance Technician to support the smooth and safe operation of manufacturing and facilities equipment within a busy production environment. The successful candidate will enjoy a varied role covering reactive breakdown response, planned maintenance, fault finding and continuous improvement across mechanical equipment and control systems. Top 3 Things to Know About This Job Permanent role with a basic package of £35,000 to £40,000 DOE enhanced overtime rates Dayshift role working Monday-Friday with early Friday finish Excellent benefits including 33 days annual leave, bonus, health care, pension etc The Role: * Maintain, repair and modify manufacturing and facilities plant and equipment. * Respond promptly to breakdowns and health and safety issues to minimise downtime. * Complete planned maintenance and manage preventative maintenance schedules. * Troubleshoot mechanical and control equipment to identify root causes. * Support continuous improvements and maintain accurate records. The Person: * Experiece in mechanical or multiskilled maintenance within an industrial environment * Experience maintaining plant, equipment and control systems in high volume production. * Ability to read schematics and drawings, with strong communication and problem solving skills. * 3rd level qualifiaction or time served apprenticeship highly advantageous * PLC, electrical, forklift truck or mobile elevated work platform experience would be advantageous.
