We are recruiting on behalf of a globally recognised manufacturing company based in Co. Antrim. This is a key leadership role within operations, reporting directly to the Operations Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and efficiency of all plant and equipment while fostering a proactive maintenance culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of engineers and technicians, instilling a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Implement structured problem-solving initiatives (5-Whys, FMEA, Kaizen) to eliminate recurring issues and enhance operational efficiency.
- Drive preventative and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Optimize spare parts inventory, balancing cost efficiency with operational reliability.
- Track and report on key maintenance KPIs, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Work cross-functionally with production and other departments to drive efficiency and cost-saving initiatives.
The Person:
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in maintenance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Education: Third-level qualification in a relevant discipline; NEBOSH certification desirable.
- Leadership Skills: Strong people management, coaching, and mentoring capabilities.
- Problem-Solving: Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with ERP systems (Navision, SAP) is an advantage.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel and adapt working hours as needed.
