We are hiring for our client for a permanent Maintenance Electrician position based in Derry/Londonderry. This is a hands-on Maintenance Electrician role focused on the planned and unplanned maintenance of heavy industrial equipment and machinery within a busy operational environment. The Role

As Maintenance Electrician, you will:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on heavy industrial machinery and equipment
  • Respond to breakdowns, identifying and repairing electrical faults to minimise downtime
  • Work with control systems, motors, panels, drives and other industrial plant equipment
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas to improve overall reliability
  • Ensure compliance with site safety processes and electrical safety regulations
  • Liaise with operational and engineering colleagues to prioritise maintenance tasks efficiently

The Person

For success in this Maintenance Electrician role, you will have:

  • A third level electrical qualification (e.g. time-served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent) - essential
  • Experience working with heavy industrial machinery or equipment
  • Strong analytical and electrical fault-finding skills
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to maintenance and problem resolution
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting wider engineering activities
  • A strong commitment to safe working and maintaining high equipment standards
