We are hiring for our client for a permanent Maintenance Electrician position based in Derry/Londonderry. This is a hands-on Maintenance Electrician role focused on the planned and unplanned maintenance of heavy industrial equipment and machinery within a busy operational environment. The Role
As Maintenance Electrician, you will:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on heavy industrial machinery and equipment
- Respond to breakdowns, identifying and repairing electrical faults to minimise downtime
- Work with control systems, motors, panels, drives and other industrial plant equipment
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas to improve overall reliability
- Ensure compliance with site safety processes and electrical safety regulations
- Liaise with operational and engineering colleagues to prioritise maintenance tasks efficiently
The Person
For success in this Maintenance Electrician role, you will have:
- A third level electrical qualification (e.g. time-served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent) - essential
- Experience working with heavy industrial machinery or equipment
- Strong analytical and electrical fault-finding skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach to maintenance and problem resolution
- Ability to work independently while also supporting wider engineering activities
- A strong commitment to safe working and maintaining high equipment standards
