We are hiring for our client, a leading construction business with projects across Northern Ireland, who are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to take ownership of the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) function.

This is a pivotal position for a Health and Safety Manager who is passionate about driving compliance, embedding a culture of safety, and supporting continuous improvement across the business. You will lead on all aspects of HSE management, providing expert guidance to senior leadership and site teams, while ensuring operational excellence and adherence to ISO standards.

The Role

  • Deliver Health & Safety policy objectives, identifying and managing occupational risks
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments (including COSHH and environmental impact)
  • Lead accident, near‑miss, and incident investigations with root cause analysis
  • Provide professional HSE advice and ensure compliance with ISO45001 and ISO14001
  • Manage and maintain safety records, documentation, and reports
  • Implement and develop subcontractor safety procedures and governance frameworks
  • Deliver training, toolbox talks, and promote wellbeing across teams

The Person

  • Level 6 qualification (or equivalent) in HSE Management or NEBOSH
  • 3+ years of experience in an HSE management role within construction
  • Strong understanding of ISO Management Systems
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Confident presenting HSE information at all business levels
