Head of Maintenance & Facilities Due to continued growth, our client, a well-established and successful food manufacturing business based in the Dungannon area is looking to appoint a Head of Maintenance and Facilities. This is a senior leadership appointment and a genuine opportunity to take full ownership of the entire maintenance, engineering and facilities function within a fast-paced, high-volume FMCG environment. The successful Head of Maintenance and Facilities will sit at senior leadership level, working closely with operational teams to drive reliability, minimise downtime and deliver continuous improvement across the site. Top 3 Things to Know About This Job Senior leadership role with full ownership of maintenance, facilities and capital expenditure Lead and develop a multi-tiered engineering team including Maintenance Manager, Shift Managers and Maintenance Engineers Well-established, growing FMCG food manufacturing business based in Dungannon, Mid Ulster The Role Take full responsibility for all maintenance and facilities activity across the site, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable operations at all times Lead, develop and performance manage a team structure that includes a Maintenance Manager, Shift Managers and Maintenance Engineers, building capability and driving a high-performance culture Own and deliver the planned preventative maintenance programme, driving asset reliability and minimising production downtime Take ownership of capital expenditure projects from initial scoping and business case through to full delivery and handover Manage all contractor activity on site, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and value for money standards Drive continuous improvement across engineering, reliability and facilities, identifying opportunities to enhance performance and reduce costs Ensure full compliance with health and safety, food safety and environmental legislation across all engineering and facilities functions Manage the engineering budget and report on key performance indicators to senior leadership, providing clear and consistent visibility of engineering performance The Person HNC or above in Mechanical, Electrical or a related Engineering discipline, or a time-served background with a minimum of five years in a maintenance management role Significant engineering leadership experience within FMCG or food manufacturing, with a strong understanding of what good looks like in a fast-paced production environment Proven experience managing maintenance teams, capital expenditure projects and contractor relationships at site level Strong knowledge of PPM systems, CMMS and asset management best practice, with a data-driven approach to decision making Commercially aware with solid budget management experience and the ability to justify and prioritise engineering spend A hands-on leader with the credibility to lead from the front, the communication skills to influence at all levels and a genuine commitment to developing the people around them The Rewards Competitive senior salary reflective of experience Full time permanent position based onsite in the Dungannon area Opportunity to lead a critical function within a growing, well-established FMCG manufacturer A senior leadership platform with real influence over the engineering strategy and direction of the site Next Steps For further information and to apply for this Head of Maintenance and Facilities role, please contact Conor O'Hagan at Hunter Savage.
