Quality Engineer Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer to support continued growth and drive high standards across its hydraulic cylinder manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will enjoy a varied, influential role involving quality control, continuous improvement, supplier engagement, audits and product investigations. This is a permanent, site-based position working Monday to Thursday from 08:00 to 17:00 and Friday from 08:00 to 14:00. The structured hours and early Friday finish offer consistency, while the hands-on manufacturing environment provides close collaboration with engineering, production and supply chain teams. Broad remit covering quality assurance, audits, supplier quality and continuous improvement. The Role: * Conduct goods-inwards, work-in-progress and finished-build inspections. * Manage non-conformances, corrective actions, root cause analysis and product investigations. * Support ISO 9001 compliance, audits, quality reporting and continuous improvement activity. * Work with suppliers and production teams to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence. * Prepare quality documentation, rework schedules, training sessions and customer assurance reports. The Person: * Third-level qualification in mechanical, manufacturing or quality engineering, or equivalent experience. * At least two years of quality assurance or control experience in engineering manufacturing. * Knowledge of ISO 9001, special processes and quality tools such as 8D and cause and effect analysis. * Strong analytical, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills. * Knowledge of hydraulic cylinder manufacturing, MRP or ERP systems, or ISO internal auditing is desirable.
