We are hiring for our client, a well-established commercial insurance provider, to recruit an experienced Commercial Underwriter for their Belfast office. In this role, you will support the profitable development of the SME/Mid-Market account by underwriting a range of commercial risks, managing both renewals and new business while building strong relationships with brokers.

The Role:
- Underwrite commercial risks within agreed processes and risk appetites.
- Negotiate renewals, quotations, and handle ad‑hoc enquiries with brokers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers to support new business development and retention.

The Person:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial insurance.
- Strong technical knowledge across a range of commercial insurance products.

- Able to work to tight deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Strong working knowledge of most commercial classes of business and associated insurance products.
- Proficient in IT (Excel and other platforms).
- Highly motivated and proactive, with a keen attention to detail.
Desirable:
