We are hiring for our client, a key player in the food manufacturing industry. The Commercial Account Manager (Retail) will be responsible for managing customer accounts in a responsive and professional manner. The Role:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer accounts, managing relationships via email, phone, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Build strong relationships and drive sales growth.
  • Develop and implement Joint Business Plans (JBPs) for key customers.
  • Attend client meetings and deliver sales presentations.
  • Prepare and present reports on performance.
  • Keep abreast of product trends and ensure an in-depth understanding of company offerings and processes.
  • Support and develop the sales team to achieve targets.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and forecasting activities.

The Person:

  • Educated to at least A Level or equivalent, with a relevant third-level qualification being an advantage.
  • A professional individual with strong account management skills (FMCG would be preferred although not essential).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to develop effective working relationships.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and computer skills.
  • Strong people management skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders to complete projects and business briefs.
  • Willing to travel as required.
