We are recruiting for an HR Officer/Assistant (12 month FTC) to join a large, well-established, values-led organisation operating across Northern Ireland and ROI. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy HR team, supporting operational sites during a key period. This HR Officer/Assistant role will suit a proactive HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, operational environment, partnering closely with managers and supporting a wide range of HR operations and employee relations activities.

The Role:
- Partner with the HR Business Partner team to deliver a full range of HR services across operations
- Provide HR administration support across the employee lifecycle including resourcing, onboarding, probation, offboarding, retirement, HR KPIs, payroll queries, and status changes
- Support managers with employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary meetings and hearings, minute taking and drafting correspondence
- Assist in the delivery of engagement, communication and culture initiatives on site
- Provide support on HR-wide projects and initiatives
- Advise managers and employees on HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and fairness
- Coordinate, plan and support training and development activities, including identifying needs from annual reviews
- Support managers with performance management, absence management, engagement and problem solving
- Act as a point of contact for employees, providing guidance and support as required
- Maintain accurate employee records in line with GDPR and data protection requirements
- Build strong working relationships with managers, colleagues, and stakeholders across sites
The Person:
- Third level qualification in HR or Business (or equivalent)
- CIPD qualified (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar HR Officer / HR Operations role
- Strong working knowledge of employment legislation
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Confident, resilient team player who can adapt to change
- Full driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites
