We are hiring for our client, a highly regarded professional services firm, to appoint a Financial Accountant on a temporary contract (6-9 months). This Financial Accountant opportunity is based in Belfast and offers hybrid working following an initial onboarding period. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified Accountant making a first move from practice, or for a Financial Accountant seeking a fresh challenge within a professional, fast-paced environment. The Role
As Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Month-end close activities, including journals, accruals and reconciliations
- Preparation of management accounts and financial reports
- Supporting statutory accounts preparation and audit processes
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Assisting with process improvements and ad-hoc finance projects
- Working closely with senior finance stakeholders across the business
The Person
- ACA qualified
- Experience gained within accountancy practice or a similar professional environment
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced setting
