The Role
- Lead and manage production teams to achieve daily output, efficiency, and quality targets
- Monitor production processes to ensure full compliance with food safety and quality standards
- Identify and resolve production issues quickly to minimise downtime and maintain efficiency
- Train, mentor, and develop team members in safety, hygiene, and production best practices
- Take ownership for product quality, safety, and right-first-time production
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, and Despatch teams to ensure smooth site operations
The Person
- Proven experience in a supervisory or Shift Manager role within food manufacturing
- Strong leadership and people-management capability
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to food safety and quality
- Confident decision-maker in a fast-paced production environment
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Desirable: Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement tools
- Health & Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH Managing Safely)
- Strong mechanical awareness and ability to troubleshoot minor issues
