The successful HR Generalist will provide proactive, comprehensive HR support across the full employee lifecycle. This is a true generalist role, working closely with managers and senior stakeholders to support day-to-day HR operations and people initiatives across a multi-site business.

The Role:

  • Support end-to-end recruitment
  • Coordinate onboarding to ensure a positive new starter experience
  • Advise managers on employee relations matters including absence, disciplinary, grievance, performance, and capability
  • Support and lead investigations, hearings, and appeals in line with policy and legislation
  • Prepare contracts, offer letters, variations, and employment documentation
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems
  • Monitor sickness absence
  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Contribute to HR projects - engagement, wellbeing, organisational change, EDI initiatives
  • Support continuous improvement of HR processes

The Person:

  • 2+ years experience in a generalist HR/HR Officer/ HR Advisor role
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Experience advising managers on employee relations issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR information systems
  • Experience supporting change management or organisational development initiatives
