This food manufacturing and distribution business is based in Wednesbury and supplies a wide range of national retailers, wholesalers, and food service providers. Known for rapid growth and a forward-thinking culture, they offer long-term stability, career progression and a supportive team environment.

Benefits

  • Salary – £26,000 to £30,000 per annum DOE
  • Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00 (half-hour lunch)
  • 33 days\’ holiday (Inclusive of bank holidays)
  • Location: Wednesbury
  • Permanent position – 37.5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing packaging design projects across internal teams and external suppliers
  • Proofreading and approving artwork files to meet food labelling regulations
  • Checking ingredient declarations, barcodes, colour consistency and layout
  • Ensuring packaging follows the NPD and artwork approval process
  • Liaising with printers and design agencies to meet quality and delivery deadlines
  • Reviewing and signing off final samples and print files
  • Keeping the internal image library up to date
  • Assisting with Brandbank uploads and marketing artwork requests
  • Requesting new barcodes and verifying barcode accuracy
  • Conducting barcode scans on final product packaging and artwork
  • Completing admin tasks linked to packaging compliance as required

What We\’re Looking For

  • Experience within the food/FMCG industry
  • Minimum 1-2 years\’ experience in packaging, artwork or labelling compliance
  • Familiarity with design agencies, cutter guides, artwork sign-off, and barcode processes
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects
  • Excellent communication skills, especially written (email, reports)
  • Confident using SAP, Access, and Excel
