Role & Responsibilities

  • Ownership of on-site health and safety activity, including inspections, audits, compliance monitoring, and reporting
  • Advise management on safety matters and help implement policy across the site
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, ensuring preventative measures are in place
  • Lead pest inspections, fire audits, alarm testing, and emergency evacuation drills
  • Maintain meticulous H&S records including training, events, and drills
  • Deliver monthly reports and contribute to daily operational meetings
  • Champion best practice and coach others on staying compliant and safe
  • Get stuck into project work and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety role
  • Background in food manufacturing, FMCG, or a similar environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and best practice
  • A confident communicator who can challenge and support in equal measure
  • Practical, hands-on attitude
  • Able to lead by example and work closely with operational teams
