Responsible for the strategic leadership, commercial growth and technical delivery of the HV Substations business, overseeing engineering teams delivering transmission projects across the UK and Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary teams across primary plant, protection & control and substation design.
- Set business strategy, identify opportunities and support bids and proposals.
- Develop relationships with utilities, developers, contractors and equipment manufacturers.
- Oversee engineering quality, project delivery, resource planning and financial performance.
- Recruit, develop and retain engineering talent.
- Provide senior technical oversight and ensure compliance with client requirements and relevant standards.
Experience Required
- Significant experience in HV substation engineering, including senior leadership responsibility.
- A strong understanding of transmission substation design and project delivery.
- Experience within an engineering consultancy, including business development and commercial management.
- A track record of leading teams and managing key client relationships.
- An electrical engineering degree or equivalent; Chartered Engineer status preferred.
