You'll be responsible for the preparation and application of protective coatings to HV transformers, ensuring the highest standards of finish, durability, and compliance with site specifications. This is a field-based role requiring travel to energy project sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Surface preparation (cleaning, sanding, priming) of HV transformers
  • Application of industrial paint systems using spray, brush, or roller techniques
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental, health & safety standards
  • Performing touch-ups, inspections, and repairs on existing coatings
  • Working in coordination with site supervisors and electrical engineers

Requirements:

  • Proven experience painting large-scale electrical or industrial equipment (transformers, switchgear, etc.)
  • Familiarity with HV substations or renewable energy sites
  • CSCS or equivalent site safety card
  • IPAF and confined space certifications desirable
  • Own PPE and tools preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret basic technical documentation
