I am currently recruiting for a SCADA Integration Engineer on a 12 month contract supporting the integration of renewable generation assets into their Remote Operations Centre. The successful candidate will work across multiple projects, managing SCADA, telecoms and control system integration activities from development through to commissioning and operational handover.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years' experience within SCADA, control systems, telecoms or automation environments
  • Proven experience delivering SCADA integration projects
  • Strong understanding of communications networks and SCADA architectures
  • Experience with RTU and PLC commissioning
  • Experience integrating OEM control systems into central SCADA platforms
  • Excellent stakeholder management and project coordination skills
  • Renewable energy, utilities or power generation experience highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Manage integration of OEM HMI systems into the ESB Remote Operations Centre
  • Act as the interface between project delivery teams and OEM SCADA providers
  • Define and manage points lists and SCADA integration requirements
  • Commission RTU and PLC systems controlling electrical balance of plant equipment
  • Ensure compliance with cyber security and network infrastructure requirements
  • Manage integration of CCTV and communications systems
  • Commission and integrate site metering systems
  • Troubleshoot communications and SCADA issues across operational assets
  • Maintain and update as-built drawings and documentation
  • Support the design of future SCADA, telecoms and remote operations solutions
  • Contribute to maintenance strategies and best practice system availability
