We are seeking a Client Side Construction Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a large scale BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) project located near London, England. Acting on behalf of the project owner, you will manage all aspects of the construction lifecycle, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and in line with technical and HSE standards.
- Act as the primary interface between the client, EPC contractor, and project stakeholders
- Manage overall construction progress, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and to specification
- Lead weekly coordination meetings and ensure alignment across engineering, procurement, and construction teams
- Review and approve project documentation including programmes, RAMS, and progress reports
- Monitor project KPIs, risk registers, and change control processes
- Provide strategic input on construction sequencing and logistics planning
- Support commercial teams with contract management and variation assessments
- Ensure HSE and quality compliance through reporting oversight and auditing
- Conduct site visits for milestone inspections, progress reviews, and critical path reviews as needed
Proven experience delivering grid-scale renewable energy projects (ideally BESS). Strong knowledge of construction project management from a client or owner's engineer perspective. Familiarity with CDM, UK HSE regulations, and QA/QC procedures. Ability to travel to site when required.

Location: Hybrid – London Area (1–2 days/week on site)
