The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

The team comprises in-house researchers and partners, all of whom are involved in the business's core service: attracting clients and becoming engaged on searches; identifying and assessing candidates' suitability for search briefs; and delivering shortlists and hires to the delight of clients. Team members are to varying degrees involved in support work to the above:

  • Maintaining a database of clients and candidates
  • Virtual and face-to-face outreach to these candidates and clients
  • Writing up documents and presentations
  • Marketing the business (chiefly through the website and email campaigns)
  • Answering phone and email enquiries
  • Maintaining the smooth running of the office
  • Contributing to the upkeep of the firm's reputation

Main Purpose

  • Using internet and press, LinkedIn, mapping and the proprietary database, conducting meticulous research to identify candidates with profiles suited to role specifications in support of active searches
  • Ensuring research work is undertaken thoroughly and pursuing relevant avenues as they arise
  • Maintaining awareness of clients and competitors and their key people in the news, trade press, RNS, LinkedIn and other relevant media
  • Preparing documents for client meetings, ensuring research is completed to a high standard and presented consistently
  • Communicating internally on ways to develop a particular search or the general functions of the business
  • Maintaining client/candidate records on internal database and mail-out system
  • CV & document production assistance – checking, changing, formatting, PDFing etc
  • Liaising with candidates and clients to arrange interviews/meetings – with zero tolerance for lack of clarity and miscommunication
  • Assisting in the production and distribution of Hunter-Miller marketing materials – mail-outs, content for the website and social media

Additional Responsibilities

  • Record minutes from weekly management meetings and distribute to team
  • Manage office correspondence including answering the telephone and responding to emails
  • Ensure all back-office supplies are well stocked – i.e. paper, stationery, printer ink etc.
  • Day-to-day management of front office – fridge, flowers, lighting, general presentation

Company Hunter-Miller is a retained executive search and advisory firm that operates across every customer-facing function. It has represented many global, European and UK organisations, including: The Gym Group, Azzurri Group (Zizzi, Coco di Mama, Boojum), Screwfix, Moss, Cancer Research UK, Mitie, Laithwaites, Evelyn Partners; and worked for PE/VC firms such as Permira, Warburg Pincus, CVC, EQT, Vitruvian Partners and ICG. Hunter-Miller is known for its commercial, data-driven approach to filling often cross-sector roles, typically at Director +/-1 level, such as: Chief Customer Officer, Marketing Director, Transformation Director, Head of Propositions, Trading Director, Data & Insight Director.

Although Hunter-Miller will offer ad hoc advice and occasional informal referrals to longstanding clients, it is not a contingent recruiter; search assignments are exclusively undertaken on a retained basis. The company has recently restructured and is growing. This is an opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual to contribute to the operation, marketing and look and feel of a business, and to grow with it over the long term. Successful joiners are offered more responsibility, and closer proximity to client handling, sooner than in the vast majority of search firms. The successful candidate will be supplied with a mobile phone, laptop, relevant professional subscriptions and have an office to work from near Victoria and Hyde Park Corner stations. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
