Hunter James Recruitment are assisting our client - a well-established organisation within the Automotive industry with their search for a Workshop Controller to join their fantastic team within their site in Swindon.

THE ROLE:

  • Day to day management of the Workshop and Service department.
  • Improve and optimize on standards / performance of the service team through effective performance management and development.
  • Cultivate successful business culture focused on customer service excellence, customer retention and new business for both workshop and parts.
  • Optimize and improve customer service standards and ensure the departments run in accordance with company standards and key performance indicators.
  • Operating to achieve a very high KPI standard including MOT Pass Rate / Breakdown results whilst maintaining the company’s standard at all times.
  • Increase efficiency, effectiveness and profitability of the depots.
  • Regular review resources in order to meet all servicing requirements to ensure that key performance indicators are met consistently reviewing labour efficiency, labour sales, cost of sales, debtors.
  • Carry out internal audits to ensure depots are fully compliant in terms of both ISO and Health & Safety.
  • Reporting directly to directors and keeping all parties updated with constant communication.
  • Maximise commercial opportunities through developing and implementing campaigns within specific market sectors.
  • Advise on the need for investment if and when required within the depots.
  • Arrange and attend regular depot meetings to allow for a clear communication channel as well as building great team relationships.

  • Experience in leading, managing and developing teams.
  • Experience within the Automotive Sector.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Good Organisational Skills.
  • An approachable personality.
  • Ability to focus efforts and prioritise work.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Client facing experience being able to manage client expectations.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure.
