Transport Manager

Hunter James Recruitment are assisting our client – a well established National organisation with their search for a Transport Manager to join their busy facility in Cambridge\\n\\nResponsibilities will include:\\n\\n * To be self-motivated, plan and exceed service delivery expectations and manage the resources required for the department\\n\\n * Management of drivers, maintaining their schedule and recording their profiles in conjunction with the supervisors and managers.\\n\\n * Organise and carry out successful driver recruitment throughout the year\\n\\n * Ensure all accident and damage reports are investigated and costs attributed correctly in conjunction with accounts invoicing.\\n\\n * Ensure that all necessary reports, documents, schedules and diaries are maintained\\n\\n * Plan and action all movements in conjunction with Operations Distribution office Team\\n\\n * Work closely with the team ensure all site health & safety procedures are adhered to.\\n\\n * Uphold and enforce the drivers’ compliance policy.\\n\\n * Ensure drivers hours are maximised but not exceeded, including accurate timesheet management.\\n\\n * Ensure continuous legal management of drivers’ hours & WTD regulations are being managed throughout the year\\n\\nTHE CANDIDATE\\n\\n * Ideally the candidate will have strong experience within a Transport Management role\\n\\n * Experience of Managing an extensive Fleet of Vehicles\\n\\n * Transport Management CPC Required\\n\\n * Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines\\n\\n * A high level of IT literacy\\n\\nIn Return we are offer a Competitive Salary plus great company benefits\\n\\nReference ID: Ref: 1720\\n\\nJob Types: Full-time, Permanent\\n\\nPay: £50,000.00 per year
