Hunter James Recruitment are assisting our client - a well established National organisation with their search for a Transport Manager to join their busy facility in Cambridge.

Responsibilities will include:

  • To be self-motivated, plan and exceed service delivery expectations and manage the resources required for the department.
  • Management of drivers, maintaining their schedule and recording their profiles in conjunction with the supervisors and managers.
  • Organise and carry out successful driver recruitment throughout the year.
  • Ensure all accident and damage reports are investigated and costs attributed correctly in conjunction with accounts invoicing.
  • Ensure that all necessary reports, documents, schedules and diaries are maintained.
  • Plan and action all movements in conjunction with Operations Distribution office Team.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure all site health & safety procedures are adhered to.
  • Uphold and enforce the drivers’ compliance policy.
  • Ensure drivers hours are maximised but not exceeded, including accurate timesheet management.
  • Ensure continuous legal management of drivers’ hours & WTD regulations are being managed throughout the year.

THE CANDIDATE

  • Ideally the candidate will have strong experience within a Transport Management role.
  • Experience of Managing an extensive Fleet of Vehicles.
  • Transport Management CPC Required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • A high level of IT literacy.
