An exciting opportunity to join a global business and build a long and rewarding career selling Chemicals and Dyes into the Textile Processing Market. This role would suit anyone with a scientific qualification (ideally chemistry biased) with experience in sales (ideally in industrial/manufacturing markets but any field sales would be considered if you have the technical chemistry knowledge).
Main Purpose of Job Role:
- To maintain and expand product sales to the UK and Irish textile industries within the targets set out by the Company.
- Offer technical advice to external customers and internal colleagues with a primary view to increasing sales.
- Maintain a current and accurate account of customer records through Company processes and on-time submission of this information to support ongoing sales strategy and direction.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead Qualification: Engage in lead generation activities where direct customer interaction is required, such as trade fairs, conferences, or direct referrals, complementing Inside Sales efforts.
- Customer Interaction Ownership: Manage direct interactions, ensuring seamless engagement throughout the sales process.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and submit customer proposals based on validated needs and solutions provided by PAM (Portfolio Application Manager). Coordinate with PAM to avoid overlapping or inconsistent content.
- Pricing: Define customer prices within given strategic pricing frameworks (Market Segment) through liaison with Customer Service Manager and BD Textiles - Sales Director.
- Contracting: Lead negotiations and finalize agreements with local customers.
- Customer Retention and Satisfaction: Ensure consistent follow-up and engagement with customers post-sale to maintain strong relationships, identify future needs, and foster long-term loyalty.
- CRM Management: Maintain customer data and sales activities in the CRM system, ensuring transparency and alignment across teams.
- Sales Forecasting: Develop and provide local sales forecast as requested by the Company.
- Application Expertise: Possess a foundational understanding of the Business Division's products, services, and applications. Degree of technical expertise depending on Business Division.
- Margin Responsibility: Responsible to achieve set Margin goals (exact margin to be defined by Steering Initiative).
£45,000 - £70,000 basic, 15% Bonus, Car or Allowance, 25 days holiday pa, Full Training & Development, Laptop, Mobile, Pension.
