Hospital ACT Pharmacy Technician roles - South London - 6 month contracts!

Hunter Gatherer AHP has two exciting locum opportunities based at an NHS hospital in South London (exact location to be confirmed). We are seeking several Locum ACT Band 4/5 Pharmacy Technicians, including community experienced applicants, to join the inpatient dispensary team from July on ongoing contracts lasting 3-6 months. The ACT qualification is required for this role.

Note: Previous hospital experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. Community pharmacy technicians are encouraged to apply. Free parking is available on site. This role offers excellent career progression opportunities, with training provided across various dispensary functions depending on your skills. Hospital-experienced technicians can start immediately, while others will receive training to cover inpatient wards and dispensary duties.

The main responsibilities include accuracy checking in the hospital dispensary, assisting with dispensing, and potentially undertaking some ward-based MMT work as you progress. The working hours are either 8am – 4pm or 9am – 5pm (30-minute lunch), Monday to Friday, with no on-call or weekend shifts required. Part-time options (3-4 days per week) may be considered for suitable applicants.

Applicants must have pharmacy experience from either community or hospital sectors and be GPHC registered with an ACT qualification. Hospital experience is not mandatory, making this an excellent opportunity for community pharmacy technicians to transition into hospital pharmacy.

The roles are available immediately (from July 2024) and are contract positions lasting up to 6 months.

• £17 – £22 per hour (Umbrella), depending on experience
