What You’ll Be Doing:Join the team as a Social Worker covering two inpatient low secure pre-discharge wards. In this role, you will:• assess and analyse risks to the public, staff, and risk of reoffending• develop risk management strategies and care plans with the MDT• produce formal reports for tribunals, hearings, and panels• lead on child and adult safeguarding within the team• liaise with Local Authorities, community mental health teams, prisons, and safeguarding boards• support discharge planning with SCFT Hubs and Patient Flow Coordinators• represent the service at MAPPA, MARAC, and other external meetings• advocate for patients’ rights, inclusion, and empowerment• support carers and families, including conducting or referring for Carers’ Assessments
Requirements & Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you will need:• current and valid Social Work England (SWE) registration• experience in inpatient or secure mental health settings• strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment, and care planning• experience writing tribunal and formal reports• excellent communication and teamwork skills
Working Hours & Contract Duration:This role is full-time, Monday to Friday, on an ongoing contract with strong potential for extension.
