Are you a Receptionist looking for a rewarding locum role in Barnsley?We have an exciting opportunity with great pay and flexibility!

• Job Title: Receptionist – Locum/Contract• Location: Barnsley – NHS Hospital• Duration: Ongoing contract• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm (1-hour lunch)• Start Date: ASAP• Rate of Pay: £15–£16 per hour (via Umbrella)• Contact: Alex Roberts – –

What You’ll Be Doing:Join the outpatient pharmacy team at a leading NHS hospital, assisting patients at both the hand-in and hand-out windows. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting and assisting patients in a professional and friendly manner

  • Handling prescription queries and guiding patients through the collection process

  • Working alongside pharmacy staff to ensure smooth daily operations

  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and data accuracy

Requirements & Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent English language skills (spoken and written)

  • Strong customer service and people-handling experience

  • Confidence in working in a busy hospital environment

  • Prior pharmacy experience is ideal but not essential

  • A proactive and compassionate approach to patient care
