Locum AMHP – Competitive Pay, Flexible Contract in Richmond!

Duration: 3 - 6 months ongoing

Schedule: Mon - Fri, 9 - 5

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • One full time Social Worker needed for the Social Care Mental Health team.
  • The role is initially advertised for 3 months, however may be extended depending on the situation and permanent recruitment.
  • The Social Worker should be experienced in managing complex Adults Mental Health cases whilst working for a local authority; this is NOT a Care Coordinator role.
  • They should have experience working under Care Act completing assessments, reviews and safeguarding, working with multi-disciplinary professionals, S117, attending ward rounds, working with Housing and brokerage, Court of Protection applications, Mental Health Tribunals, and duty work.
  • The Social Worker should be a driver with their own transport to travel around the borough and out of borough when needed.
  • The Social Worker will need to be experienced working under pressurised environment and prioritising workloads.
  • The Social Workers should be proactive with managing the complex case loads.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • A current and valid Social Work England registration and pin
  • Experience working with CMHTs or similar settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
  • Access to a car for community/home visits
  • Qualified and warranted as an AMHP

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role offers a flexible working position requiring availability from Monday - Friday with flexibility where possible. The contract is for 3 to 6 months with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
