Our client, a leading specialist insurer in classic vehicle motor insurance, is located in the heart of London. Due to ongoing investment and expansion, they are now looking to appoint an IT Director to enhance and modernize their IT operations.
The successful IT Director will have a robust mandate to drive change by implementing innovative technologies and methodologies within a traditionally structured insurance environment.
As a key member of the senior leadership team, the IT Director will initially focus on developing a comprehensive IT strategy and technology roadmap to support the company\βs growth and facilitate the planned exit of a private equity investor, potentially leading to an IPO.
Currently, the IT function is integrated within the Finance Department. The new IT Director will lead the transition of IT into its own department, reporting directly to the CEO.
This transition will involve unifying various IT teams and third-party vendors into a cohesive, collaborative unit. The IT Director will be responsible for overseeing IT expenditures, managing budgets, and fostering strong IT-business interactions.
Our client seeks a business-oriented Head of IT or IT Director who is confident in addressing broader business challenges beyond technology, including effectively communicating IT issues at the board and investor levels.
