A leading name in automotive apprenticeship training is seeking a HV/B&C Tutor to deliver engaging, high-quality training sessions to apprentices in the commercial vehicle repair industry. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HV/B&C professional looking to move into training, or an established tutor looking for their next role with a well-regarded training provider.
You'll join a busy training academy on a full-time, permanent basis, delivering both practical and theory-based training to groups of apprentices and helping shape the next generation of industry technicians.
Responsibilities:- Deliver training of the highest standard in vehicle repair to apprentices, supporting the development of their skills and behaviours
- Deliver practical and theory training to groups of HV/B&C apprentices
- Provide fair, accurate assessments against prescribed criteria
- Maintain and complete programme documentation promptly
- Ensure learner outcomes align with awarding body standards
- Support the development of training materials, including clear schemes of work, lesson plans, objectives and outcomes
- Embed inclusive practices to ensure all learners have the opportunity to succeed
Essential:
- Strong background as an HV/B&C Technician within the automotive industry
- Minimum Level 3 NVQ/ATA or equivalent recognised qualification
Desirable:
- Knowledge of high voltage (HV/B&C) vehicles and electrical systems, including ADAS
- Experience delivering training to apprentices or skilled professionals
- Level 3 qualification in Education and Teaching, or equivalent
- Proven ability to develop others' knowledge and competence to Level 3 standard and beyond
- Ability to develop training plans and schemes of work
- Good understanding of the current Ofsted Framework for FE practice
- Competitive salary (£40,000 - £45,000)
