A Town Planner / Planning Consultant job is available in Winchester and London locations with a highly regarded architectural practice. The firm seeks an experienced Town Planner for a varied and strategic role, offering a salary of up to £55,000 plus benefits and hybrid flexibility.

Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals, including managing the pre-application process and planning notes on land and buildings.
- Provide guidance on local and national planning frameworks.
- Provide strategic advice on planning framework and law, developing strategies for approval of sensitive projects.
- Coordinate the preparation of Planning Statements, Design and Access Statements, and contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs).
- Manage the preparation of supporting documents for development and infrastructure schemes, including Development Consent Orders.
- Assist clients with the planning process and provide solutions to overcome planning challenges.
- Negotiate with local authorities and key stakeholders.
- Provide strategies to internal teams and be a primary point of contact for planning related matters.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of industry experience, private or public sector.
- Proven background working on a variety of projects including historical/listed buildings and sensitive projects.
- Experience with projects across London and Hampshire, ideally with relationships in both locations.
- Client-facing experience and strong communication skills.
- Ideally degree qualified in town planning, urban design, or similar; MRTPI / MRICS preferred but not essential.
