A Mid Weight Interior Designer job is available in South West London with an award-winning architectural and interior design practice specialising in high-end residential projects. This role is suited to a designer with at least four years' UK experience delivering luxury residential interiors across all project stages. Based in South West London, this position offers the opportunity to work on understated, bespoke private residential schemes for high-net-worth clients. You will be involved from initial concept and schematic design through to detailed interior architecture, FF&E specification, procurement and final installation.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative and design-focused studio environment known for its strong technical delivery, high standards of communication, and supportive team culture. This is an all-round role requiring both creative flair and technical competence, with responsibility for running projects from inception to completion under the guidance of the Interior Design Director.
Key Responsibilities- Develop concept designs, sketches, mood boards and client presentations alongside senior designers
- Lead projects through all relevant RIBA stages, from concept through to completion
- Manage FF&E including sourcing, specification, budgeting, scheduling and procurement
- Produce detailed interior architecture drawing packages using AutoCAD
- Prepare technical drawings, tender documentation and presentation visuals
- Coordinate consultants, contractors, subcontractors and specialist suppliers
- Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and luxury residential standards
- Attend and lead client meetings, site meetings and supplier presentations
- Oversee project programmes, timelines and delivery schedules
- Report directly to the Interior Design Director on project progress
- Minimum 4+ years' UK experience working on luxury residential interior design projects
- Degree in Interior Design or related discipline
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and residential project stages
- Proven experience delivering high-end FF&E including procurement and installation
- Excellent understanding of luxury materials, finishes, bespoke joinery and custom furniture
- Strong technical interior architecture experience with the ability to produce detailed drawing packages
- Demonstrable project management experience across multiple residential schemes
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and Esti
- Confident client-facing skills with experience working directly with high-net-worth individuals
- Ability to manage projects independently while contributing to a collaborative studio environment
- £38,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience
- Hybrid working - 1 day per week working from home
- 20 days annual leave plus birthday off and Christmas shutdown
