Job Summary: Senior Architect role within the Architecture sector, delivering high-end residential, heritage and conservation-focused projects across London and the wider UK. This role offers involvement across all RIBA stages, combining design development, technical detailing and project delivery responsibilities. The position suits a qualified architect with strong experience or interest in heritage, conservation and high-end residential architecture. You will take ownership of projects from concept through completion, working independently and within multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Client engagement, consultant coordination and maintaining compliance with UK planning and building regulations.
  • Careful attention to craftsmanship, traditional construction, contextual design and high-quality architectural detailing.
  • Responsibility across complex projects while maintaining a strong technical and design focus.
  • Exposure to sensitive existing buildings, bespoke homes and considered architectural interventions requiring confident project leadership.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead architectural projects across all RIBA work stages, maintaining consistent design quality and technical accuracy throughout delivery.
  • Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications supporting high-quality construction and compliance with relevant UK regulations.
  • Manage client relationships effectively, providing clear communication and maintaining trust throughout each stage of the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors and stakeholders to support integrated, efficient and well-managed architectural project delivery.
  • Take responsibility for project programmes, adjusting timelines and resources to meet agreed deadlines and project objectives.
  • Oversee project budgets, monitoring financial performance and supporting delivery within agreed project cost constraints.
  • Contribute to heritage, conservation and high-end residential design development with strong attention to context and detailing.
  • Work independently when required while contributing effectively within multidisciplinary teams delivering complex and sensitive architectural schemes.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Qualified Architect with a minimum of five years post-qualification professional experience within the Architecture sector.
  • Strong interest or good experience in heritage, conservation and high-end residential architecture and project delivery.
  • Strong technical knowledge of residential construction detailing, including experience or understanding of traditional building methods.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering architectural projects across all RIBA stages from initial concept through to completion.
  • Good understanding of UK planning policy, building regulations, construction systems and relevant project delivery requirements.
  • Experience in contract administration with knowledge of standard building contracts and established construction procurement routes.
  • Strong communication skills with confidence engaging clients, consultants, contractors and wider project stakeholders throughout delivery.
  • Working knowledge of ArchiCAD is beneficial, alongside willingness to learn and adopt appropriate new digital tools.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Up to 56,000
  • 21 days holiday plus bank holidays and discretionary leave over the Christmas period.
