Overview of the Role
Senior Architect required for a contract role in Oxford, supporting delivery of a live heritage-focused project. The position centres on RIBA Stages 4 and 5, with responsibility for technical coordination, drawing production, and site support. You will work within an established design team to ensure accurate information flow and maintain design intent through construction.

This established practice delivers architecture and heritage projects across complex and sensitive sites. The Oxford team focuses on existing and listed buildings, requiring careful design judgement and technical control. The studio promotes collaboration and structured project delivery, with teams working across design development, technical stages, and on-site coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery packages across RIBA Stages 4 and 5
- Coordinate drawings, specifications, and production information
- Liaise with consultants and internal teams to maintain design intent
- Support site inspections and resolve technical issues during construction
- Prepare clear presentation and technical documentation
- Manage work packages to programme and support junior team members
Required Skills and Experience
- Part 3 qualified Architect with at least 5 years UK practice experience
- Strong Stage 4 and 5 delivery and technical detailing ability
- Experience working on historic, listed, or existing buildings
- Practical site experience on UK-based projects
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and NBS
- Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations and coordination processes
Benefits and Package
Contract role for 3–6 months on a live Oxford project. £21–£26 per hour dependent on experience.
