Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed budget estimates and cost plans supporting early project decisions and formal approvals.
- Produce accurate tender documents with clear cost information for procurement and contractor pricing exercises.
- Review tender returns, prepare evaluations and support clear recommendations for informed client decisions.
- Carry out interim valuations monitoring progress, payment requirements and the current project cost position.
- Prepare cost reports and final accounts with accurate commentary on risks, changes and financial movements.
- Assess contractor claims, variations and change control matters using a balanced commercial approach.
- Report directly to clients through written updates, project meetings and confident professional presentations.
- Work flexibly across project stages, office collaboration and regular travel when project demands require.
Skills & Experience Required
- Cost management experience across pre-contract and post-contract duties within property or construction projects.
- Degree qualified, with MRICS status or active progress towards professional chartership preferred.
