Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver CDM Principal Designer services across projects while supporting effective implementation of CDM Regulations 2015.
- Provide Client Advisor support when required, giving clear guidance to relevant project stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with architects, designers and project leaders to integrate design risk management.
- Identify and communicate design risks while helping project teams consider appropriate practical responses.
- Provide technical advice and guidance relating specifically to requirements under the CDM Regulations 2015.
- Coordinate effectively with internal project teams and external stakeholders throughout all RIBA work stages.
- Prepare clear professional reports and documentation supporting CDM responsibilities and design safety activities.
- Promote good practice around design safety and contribute to relevant external representation and business development.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience working within a CDM, Principal Designer or health and safety focused professional role.
- Good working knowledge and practical understanding of requirements within the CDM Regulations 2015.
- Experience working across all RIBA workstages within architectural, design or construction project environments.
- Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple project requirements.
