b Overview /b p In this BRPD Consultant role, you help lead design compliance across Building Regulations, fire safety, and related domains for a growing studio. You will co-lead the BRPD function, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to ensure cohesive, compliant outcomes. The position blends project delivery with business development, shaping processes and governance for higher-risk projects. You join a collaborative, forward-thinking practice expanding its BRPD service and project portfolio, offering a clear impact path and professional growth. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li salary 50,000–65,000 /li li flexible working with minimum 2 days per week in London studio /li li 25 days Holiday + Christmas shutdown + Birthday off /li li ongoing CPD and support for professional development and membership /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Lead and manage design work to ensure compliance with Building Regulations across structure, fire safety, ventilation, energy, access and use /li li Co-lead the BRPD function by developing processes, templates, and workflows for design compliance and duty-holder coordination /li li Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams to ensure cohesion, compliance and clear responsibilities /li li Carry out design compliance reviews, record assumptions and risks, and manage change control impacts on compliance /li li Support the production of golden thread information and, where applicable, Gateway submissions and compliance statements for HRB projects /li li Advise clients and internal teams on statutory duties under the Building Safety Act and Building Regulations regime /li li Stay current with regulatory changes, competence frameworks and best-practice, embedding improvements across the team /li li Assist senior management with business development activities, including input into proposals for BRPD services /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Architectural or architectural-technology background with experience in design compliance or design coordination /li li Direct experience of Building Regulations and compliance work, ideally having acted in or supported a Principal Designer (Building Regulations) role /li li Strong knowledge of the Building Regulations, Approved Documents and the regulatory regime under the Building Safety Act /li li Proven experience coordinating multi-discipline design teams and challenging design inputs on compliance grounds /li li Ability to interpret drawings, BIM models and specifications to identify compliance gaps /li li Excellent communication skills with confidence engaging clients and project teams /li li ARB/RIBA registration or equivalent (desirable) /li li Experience working on Higher Risk Buildings and understanding Gateway processes (desirable) /li li Familiarity with Revit, BIM standards and design coordination tools (desirable) /li /ul ul li Excellent communication /li li Client engagement /li li Collaborative teamwork /li li Revit /li li BIM standards /li li design coordination tools /li /ul
