Leading high-profile hospitality and large-scale hotel projects with full creative, commercial and studio responsibility. This senior role offers influence across design direction, client relationships and team leadership within a highly respected, design-led practice.
This international design studio delivers considered, high-quality interior architecture across hospitality, F&B, spa and hotel environments. Known for its collaborative culture and integrated design approach, the practice brings together interior design, architecture, branding and product design to create cohesive, experience-led spaces for a global client base.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and lead the overall design vision from concept through to project completion
- Ensure design continuity and quality across all project stages and deliverables
- Provide creative leadership to Senior Designers, Project Managers and FF&E teams
- Translate design concepts into clear schematic, technical and construction documentation
- Lead and review design presentations to maintain high creative and technical standards
- Oversee multiple projects to ensure delivery on time, within scope and budget
- Manage project contracts, fee allocation, programmes and resourcing
- Monitor project profitability, fee spend and financial performance alongside Finance
- Review invoicing and billing schedules to support commercial accuracy and cash flow
- Identify and manage project risk, compliance and quality assurance
- Act as senior client contact, building trusted long-term relationships
- Support and contribute to business development, bids and new project opportunities
- Represent the studio externally with clients, consultants and industry partners
- Oversee day-to-day studio operations, resourcing and workflow
- Mentor, manage and develop team members, supporting performance and progression
- Support recruitment and participate in annual appraisals alongside senior leadership
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, health and safety and operational procedures
- Coordinate interior architecture, FF&E and external consultant teams
- Review drawings, specifications and schedules for quality, accuracy and compliance
Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in interior architecture and design leadership roles
- Strong background delivering high-end hospitality, F&B, spa and hotel projects
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary design teams and complex projects
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and InDesign
- Strong understanding of construction processes, design standards and documentation
- Experience using project management systems such as Deltek
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing fees and profitability
