Architectural Technologist Job in Lichfield, Midlands

A new role has now opened up at my client’s Lichfield office. This role offers a unique chance to join a multidisciplinary team, working on a variety of projects spanning residential, healthcare, education, commercial, and leisure.

Based across two offices with over twenty members of staff, this employee-owned multidisciplinary practice offers a range of services including architectural, building surveying, and project management. Due to continued success, they are now seeking an Architectural Technologist to join their residential and healthcare team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Work on the production of technical drawing packages.
  • Design presentation materials like boards and layouts.
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations, NHBC guidelines, and other relevant laws.
  • Assess risks and create health and safety plans according to regulations.
  • Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with drawings and issue instructions as needed.
  • Organise drawings properly and back up computer files monthly.
  • Measure existing buildings on‑site as required for projects.

Required Skills & Experience

  • AutoCAD and Revit proficiency is required.
  • Experience working on healthcare and social housing projects is desirable.
  • Ideally this candidate will have around 5 years of in‐practice experience.
  • Good knowledge of UK building regulations, general planning legislation, and CDM 2015 regulations.
