What you'll be doing
- Project leadership
- Lead fire engineering projects from design through to completion
- Develop fire strategies, technical reports, sketches, and calculations
- Carry out fire dynamics and structural fire assessments
- Modelling & analysis
- Undertake smoke and evacuation modelling
- Perform hand calculations, zone modelling, and CFD simulations
- Design & compliance
- Review building designs for fire compliance
- Develop fire-engineered solutions with the wider design team
- Apply UK fire regulations and guidance across multiple sectors
- Client & team collaboration
- Work with clients, architects, and statutory authorities
- Lead meetings and agree compliant design outcomes
- Mentor junior engineers and support their technical development
- Support the strategic growth of the fire engineering team
What we're looking for
- Degree in Fire Engineering or related discipline
- Senior experience in a fire engineering consultancy
- CEng or actively working towards chartership
- Strong UK project delivery experience
- Experience across new build and existing buildings
- Confident client-facing communication
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple projects independently
