Working on high-end and creative projects across the city, the role is suited to someone with experience in the sector and looking to be part of a collaborative team with lots of client-facing opportunities. Offering up to £100,000 plus commission!
Our client is a highly regarded workplace design and build firm, working with clients across a range of sectors including technology, finance, social media, and more. Typically working on 5-6 projects a year, valued at multiple millions. They are looking for an experienced pre-contracts manager to join their team, supporting with project feasibility studies, contracts negotiations, pitching, presenting, and supporting with internal process management. It's the chance to be part of a creative and outgoing team, working on a portfolio of unique and often award-winning projects.
Role & Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with clients, landlords, and project teams; lead subcontractor/client meetings and manage site and delivery teams across multiple live projects
- Ensure snag-free, high-quality project delivery on time and within budget; oversee all build stages and maintain excellent site standards
- Site visits to monitor build quality and compliance with British Standards, codes, and best practices
- Deliver all pre-construction activities including surveys, design coordination, cost planning, tenders, H&S planning, landlord submissions, and full contract packs
- Maintain exemplary site setups and ensure full compliance with statutory Health & Safety requirements
- Manage tenders, trade procurement, budgets, valuations, cash flow, cost reporting, variation orders, and final accounts to improve gross profit
- Create pre-contract, construction, micro, and finishes programmes; maintain clear reporting on timelines and deliverables
- Understand JCT/contract terms; manage handovers, issue PC certificates, coordinate O&M manuals, and resolve post-completion defects
Required Skills & Experience
- Degree qualified in construction management, or similar
- Proven experience working on design and build projects
- Ms Office and Ms Project, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Revit are desirable
- Client-facing and pitch presentation experience.
