A new part-time Interior Designer job is now available with a luxury property developer in Winchester. This role will suit an all-round designer with experience in the residential sector, a keen eye for detail and strong commercial awareness.

Established over 15 years ago, our client is now a leading high-end residential developer in the South of England. With an exciting pipeline of projects, they are looking for an in-house interior designer to join their team of 22, on a permanent basis.

This is a part-time opening (3-4 days, flexible to suit the perfect candidate), offering the opportunity to oversee each phase of the interior design process from technical to interior styling. The ideal candidate will be able to create bespoke joinery, FF&E and lighting schemes within time and budget. We are looking for someone personable, who can work closely with the in-house technical and commercial teams and also confidently liaise with homeowners when needed.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Leading all show home designs and installs including all FF&E (lighting, flooring, window treatments, custom joinery designs and finishes)

  • Working on decorative specification for stock plots

  • Interior architecture including reviewing architectural, electrical and bathroom layouts

  • Specifying interior fixtures and fittings

  • Creating furniture layouts for sales brochures

  • Lighting design including producing concepts and design proposals and producing full lighting plans

  • Designing bespoke joinery such as media units, home cinemas, kitchen cabinets and utility room storage

  • Producing the technical specifications to accompany bespoke pieces.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years\’ experience working on residential projects. Experience working on residential development would be beneficial
  • Proven experience managing projects from concept through to installation and snagging

  • Strong concept development and implementation abilities and experience

  • Confident working on all FF&E stages, including bespoke pieces

  • Excellent knowledge of materials, finishes and suppliers

  • Good interior architecture experience

  • Interior styling knowledge/experience

  • Proven experience liaising directly with clients, suppliers and third parties

  • Proficient in AutoCAD. Knowledge of Programa would be beneficial

  • Strong presentation and communication skills

  • Driving license and access to a car.
