A Senior Landscape Architect is required to lead landscape projects within a growing design practice in Brighton and Hove. This role suits an experienced landscape professional with strong residential project experience, technical knowledge and confident client communication. You will manage bespoke private residential schemes, alongside selected public realm and design-led projects, from concept through completion. Working closely with the Practice Director, you will oversee project delivery, act as the primary client contact and support junior team members.
Role & Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for project leadership, design quality, client relationships and coordinated delivery across active landscape projects.
- Lead projects from concept through completion.
- Manage clients, consultants and project information.
- Review technical drawings and design packages.
- Attend client meetings and site visits.
- Mentor and support junior team members.
You will also contribute to design reviews, project planning, studio processes and improvements to delivery consistency.
Skills & Experience Required
- At least five years of professional landscape architecture or landscape design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating completed high-end residential projects.
- Strong project leadership and delivery experience.
- Confident client and consultant communication.
- Excellent technical and drawing review skills.
- Proficiency in Vectorworks or advanced CAD skills.
- Full UK driving licence and vehicle access.
- Previous mentoring experience is required.
- Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and AI tool knowledge would be beneficial, although chartered status is not essential.
