A senior leadership opportunity to drive growth, performance and culture across multiple commercial teams within a growing UK business. This role offers board-level influence, accountability for revenue growth, and hands-on leadership of established sales teams. This established multi-division organisation delivers specialist products and services to a broad client base across the UK. With an ambitious growth strategy in place, the business is seeking a commercially driven leader to take ownership of sales performance, client relationships and team development while working closely with the executive leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver commercial strategies aligned with the wider business growth objectives
- Take full ownership of revenue growth and gross profit performance across all commercial divisions
- Lead, manage and coach established sales and design teams, holding individuals accountable to clear targets
- Set clear expectations, KPIs and performance standards for sales teams and review performance regularly
- Recruit, develop and retain high-performing commercial talent
- Act as senior point of contact for key clients, managing relationships and handling escalations
- Work closely with clients to understand needs and tailor commercial solutions accordingly
- Develop sales plans, budgets and forecasts to support growth targets
- Monitor performance against growth objectives and adapt strategy where required
- Optimise sales processes to improve consistency, efficiency and conversion
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to inform decision-making
- Prepare and present performance reports, forecasts and insights to the board
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align commercial activity with overall business strategy
- Promote a positive, high-performance culture and strong employee engagement
- Travel regularly between company offices and client sites as required.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven track record of delivering and exceeding revenue growth targets
- Demonstrable experience managing and developing teams of salespeople
- Strong coaching mindset with the ability to challenge and hold teams accountable
- Experience acting as a senior client-facing leader within a commercial environment
- Background in a senior commercial, sales or business development leadership role
- Experience working within a high-growth or change-driven organisation
- Strong strategic planning and execution capability
- Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills
- Data-driven approach with strong analytical and forecasting ability
- Familiarity with structured sales methodologies such as SPIN, BANT or MEDDIC
- Ethical leadership style with resilience and adaptability
- Good mobility for visiting operational and construction sites
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK.
