This is an ownership role. The Chief Financial Officer for UK & Ireland sits on the UK Leadership Team and is accountable for the full financial performance of a large, complex, multi-site operation, with revenue of nearly £400 million and strong profitability. They will shape financial strategy, own the data and analytics agenda, lead pricing and revenue optimisation, and take on cross-functional accountability wherever their skills create the most value.

The Role

As CFO, you will be the strategic and financial authority for UK & Ireland, partnering closely with the UK CEO and EMEA leadership to set and execute the financial agenda. You will own everything from controllership and compliance through to commercial strategy and growth optimisation, leading a Finance organisation that covers FP&A, Operations Finance, Commercial Finance, Revenue Management, Business Intelligence, Data & Analytics, and Finance Transformation.

What You Will Own

  • Strategy: Define and lead the financial strategy for UK & Ireland, aligned to profitable growth, cost discipline and long-term competitiveness. Provide rigorous challenge and data-driven recommendations to the CEO and Leadership Team on pricing, cost structure, capital allocation and revenue growth.
  • Control: Own the controllership agenda: integrity of financial reporting, robustness of the internal control environment, and full SOX compliance across all business units. Accountable for audit readiness, control testing, and timely remediation of any gaps.
  • ZBB: Lead the annual Zero-Based Budgeting process, ensuring every cost line is built from the ground up and the organisation operates with an owner-operator mindset. Drive cost-efficiency across manufacturing, procurement, logistics and overheads without sacrificing quality or service levels.
  • Revenue Management & Pricing: Own pricing strategy and revenue management, working in direct partnership with commercial units to optimise net revenue, trade investment and margin. Lead growth optimisation initiatives that connect financial modelling with commercial execution.
  • GBS: Oversee the Global Business Services (GBS) relationship, holding the function accountable for performance across AP, AR and reporting. Drive continuous improvement jointly with GBS leadership and enforce SLA compliance rigorously.
  • Data & Analytics: Own the data and analytics agenda for Finance. Lead the Business Intelligence function and drive the development of automated, scalable reporting solutions across commercial and operational finance. Build sustainable BI infrastructure — dashboards, KPI frameworks, self-service analytics — that reduces manual effort and elevates insight quality. The CFO sets the roadmap and is accountable for delivery, not just sponsorship.
  • Long-Range Planning & FP&A: Lead financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, ensuring information is accurate, timely and decision-ready. Manage cash flow, working capital and investment to support manufacturing output, supply chain resilience and continuity.
  • Cash & Capital: Lead capital investment decisions and M&A evaluations, including business cases, due diligence and integration planning. Assess strategic options with the rigour and speed a 3G environment demands.
  • Systems: Champion finance systems and automation, including ERP optimisation (SAP, Oracle or equivalent), driving efficiency and control improvements across the function.
  • Beyond Finance: Take ownership of cross-functional strategic projects where your skills create the most value — commercial strategy, operational transformation, procurement or otherwise. This is expected, not exceptional.

What You Bring

  • Senior financial leadership experience at CFO or Finance Director level within a manufacturing, FMCG, retail or similarly complex operational environment.
  • Direct, hands-on experience with SOX compliance frameworks: documentation, testing, working with external auditors, and remediating control gaps in a PE-owned or listed company.
  • Experience managing or governing a GBS or shared services function, with a track record of driving performance accountability through that model.
  • Demonstrated ability to build or materially improve a data and analytics function within Finance - setting architecture, owning delivery timelines, and holding teams accountable for output quality.
  • Proven track record leading pricing, revenue management or commercial finance, with the ability to move between strategic framing and granular financial modelling.
  • Experience with Zero-Based Budgeting or similarly rigorous cost management disciplines.
  • Strong grounding in multi-site and international operations, with EMEA exposure preferred.
  • Track record leading large capital projects, cost-control programmes and finance transformation initiatives.
  • Comfort and credibility operating in a meritocratic, performance-driven culture. You are expected to develop your team, seek expanded scope and deliver results — not manage a steady state.

How You Lead

  • Strong quantitative and analytical thinking - able to interpret complex data, identify the insight that matters, and drive sound decisions at pace.
  • Clear, direct communication with the credibility to influence board-level stakeholders and challenge constructively across functions and geographies.
  • Exceptional people leadership: building high-performing teams, developing senior talent, and creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • A continuous-improvement mindset applied to systems, processes and people - always looking for the next opportunity to raise the bar.

What This Role Offers

A genuine platform for career growth - within the UK & Ireland organisation and across the broader EMEA and global structure - for a leader who delivers and demonstrates the capability to take on more.
