My client is looking for a highly skilled Storage DevOps Engineer to join their rapidly expanding global infrastructure team. This is a rare opportunity to work on mission-critical storage platforms powering some of the most demanding compute environments in the industry.
You’ll play a key role in designing and scaling next-generation enterprise storage systems supporting high-performance tech and research workloads globally.
Role- Design, deploy, and scale enterprise-grade distributed storage infrastructure
- Architect and maintain high-performance storage platforms including NFS, GPFS, WEKA, object storage, and cloud-native solutions
- Optimise storage environments for performance-critical compute and research workloads
- Drive automation, monitoring, and observability improvements across storage services
- Perform capacity planning, forecasting, and lifecycle management at scale
- Troubleshoot complex storage and performance issues across distributed systems
- Work closely with compute, networking, and application engineering teams globally
- Evaluate and integrate emerging storage technologies and architectures
- Contribute to long-term platform strategy, tooling, and operational excellence
- Strong experience administering Linux and enterprise storage infrastructure in large-scale environments
- Deep understanding of distributed storage systems and storage protocols (GPFS, WEKA, Lustre, Ceph, NFS, or similar)
- Experience with storage performance analysis, benchmarking, and optimisation
- Strong automation and scripting skills using Python or similar
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible or Chef
- Knowledge of cloud storage platforms across AWS and/or GCP
- Strong understanding of observability and monitoring within distributed systems
- Familiarity with modern software engineering practices including CI/CD and version control
- Understanding of storage hardware, NVMe/SSD technologies, and storage networking is advantageous
- Experience within HPC or performance-sensitive environments is highly beneficial
