A rapidly scaling exchange and trading technology firm is seeking a highly capable Cloud & DevOps Engineer to join its growing infrastructure and platform engineering team in London. You’ll play a key role in modernising and automating infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and on-prem Linux environments. The position combines hands-on engineering with strategic input into tooling, platform architecture, CI/CD, observability, and automation initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and managing multi-account cloud infrastructure using Terraform
  • Driving automation across cloud and on-prem platforms using Ansible, Python, and Bash
  • Supporting Linux engineering, deployment pipelines, and systems operations at scale
  • Working closely with development teams to productionise applications and services
  • Managing and improving CI/CD tooling and deployment workflows
  • Supporting containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Contributing to infrastructure reliability, scalability, and capacity planning
  • Maintaining clear technical documentation and operational standards

Skills & Experience

We’re looking for engineers with strong DevOps and infrastructure backgrounds, ideally gained within high-availability or low-latency environments.

Key requirements:

  • Strong experience designing and operating hybrid cloud environments across AWS and GCP
  • Advanced DevOps and automation experience
  • Strong Linux systems administration skills (RHEL/CentOS or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Bash
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling and Git-based workflows
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing)
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/ECR, or similar container platforms
  • Knowledge of infrastructure automation and configuration management best practices
  • Database exposure including MySQL, Elasticsearch, or similar technologies
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative engineering mindset
