One of the more interesting infrastructure teams in London fintech right now — a fast-growing, technically serious business building the connectivity layer that lets trading firms access markets without the internal engineering headache. Small, high-caliber SRE team, real ownership from day one, and a genuine, mapped-out path from endpoint engineering into full SRE/production engineering.
The role
You'll join the SRE team owning the company's endpoints and internal infrastructure — the foundation everything else runs on. This isn't a dead-end desktop support seat: it's the entry point into a growing SRE function, with a clear trajectory into automation, infrastructure and reliability engineering as you prove yourself.
What you'll own:
- Provisioning and setup of macOS, Linux, and Windows devices across the business
- Employee onboarding — you're the main point of contact for desktop support
- Keeping pairing stations, Linux laptops, kiosk devices, and rebuild workflows running reliably
- Endpoint tooling: Ansible, Jamf, Intune, and related platforms
- Purchasing, validating and maintaining machines and shared engineering hardware
- Reducing recurring issues through scripting, automation and process improvement
- Growing into broader SRE responsibilities over time — this is a genuine growth path, not a title on paper
What we're looking for:
- Strong hands-on experience owning desktop engineering, endpoint/workplace technology, or high-level technical support
- Confident troubleshooting across Linux, macOS and Windows
- Experience with endpoint management/provisioning tools — Jamf, Intune, Ansible
- Comfortable on the CLI, scripting, provisioning/rebuild workflows, and solid networking fundamentals
- A hands-on, self-sufficient mindset — happy to own physical office infrastructure, not just tickets
- Clear motivation to grow into SRE / production engineering
- Based in or around London, happy in the office 1 day a week
Why this one's worth a look: small team, real autonomy, modern stack, and a company that's explicit about growing people into SRE rather than leaving them stuck in support. Good fit for someone technically strong who wants trading-tech exposure without needing prior finance experience to get in the door.
