We are partnering with one of London’s most selective and highest-performing quantitative investment funds to appoint a Senior Quant Software Developer to their core systematic trading group. This is a confidential mandate for a team renowned for world-class engineering standards, scientific rigour, and a culture built around high impact and low ego. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of quantitative research, data engineering, and high-performance software development — with code that moves rapidly from prototype to production and directly influences trading performance.
The Role
- Collaborate closely with quant researchers to productionise models and design scalable research/tooling infrastructure
- Develop high-performance, robust code across Python and C++
- Build and maintain data pipelines, research platforms, and components of the live trading stack
- Optimise system performance, reliability, and throughput across large-scale datasets
- Contribute to architectural decisions across the full research-to-execution workflow
What We’re Looking For
- Exceptional programming skills in Python and/or C++, with a focus on writing clean, performant production code
- Strong understanding of core CS fundamentals (algorithms, distributed systems, profiling, testing)
- Experience in a systematic trading environment or quantitative data domain is highly advantageous, though not essential
- A problem-solver with the ability to work collaboratively in a highly technical, research-driven environment
- Humility, curiosity, and a desire to build systems that have real, measurable impact
- Computer Science or STEM degree from a good university
