We’re partnering with a leading global banking organisation to find an experienced Middleware Platforms Support Lead to join its technology operations function in London.
This is an opportunity for a technically strong professional who enjoys getting hands‑on with complex production environments, taking ownership of critical incidents and driving meaningful improvements across enterprise platforms.
Spec:
- Taking the lead on complex production issues, from root‑cause investigation through to resolution and prevention.
- Supporting and optimising key middleware and integration technologies across a business‑critical environment.
- Driving improvements in platform stability, monitoring, automation and operational resilience.
- Acting as a senior technical escalation point, helping ensure essential services remain reliable and performant.
- Raising engineering standards and identifying opportunities to make support processes smarter and more efficient.
Requirements:
- Strong practical experience with IBM MQ administration and production support.
- Hands‑on knowledge of AutoSys or a comparable workload scheduling and automation platform.
- Experience using Splunk for monitoring, investigation and troubleshooting.
- A proven background supporting critical production services, including major incidents, on‑call rotations and out‑of‑hours support.
- The technical judgement and leadership skills to navigate challenging incidents in a demanding enterprise environment.
